Anita Barone
An actor with many talents who has mainly been cast in shows on TV, Anita Barone received her greatest chance in the medium by playing wife of Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which played for one season on ABC from 1995-96. Barone made her first performance on stage at the age of five in Detroit, where she was raised after her family moved from St Louis. She was in the stage for more than 50 plays by the age of 23, mostly in regional and university theatres as well as for regional productions. The stage roles she played included Juliet as Juliet in "Romeo as well as Juliet," Helen Keller in a production in "Monday After The Miracle" and the title part of Agnes who is a young, tormented nun from "Agnes of the Gods." Her first screen appearance was in the minor part of "The Rozary Murders", a cameo in "Ricochet", and her role as the main character in an indie romantic comedy "Just Friends", in 1996. Barone got her first recognizable Hollywood work as a member of Carol & Company (NBC, 1990-91) - the ill-fated attempt to be a part of Carol Burnett in trying to revive the comedy sketch series. Barone made an appearance on"The Wounded Heart" on the USA Network movie "Wounded Heart" in 1995. Barone returned to sitcoms with a weekly schedule and co-starred in "Daddio", NBC 2000, with Michael Chiklis.
